David La Red Martínez

David is an Expert in Statistic and Computing (UNNE) and a Specialist in College Teaching (UNNE). He has a Master’s degree in Information Technology (UNNE) and a PhD in Computing and Systems Engineering (University of Málaga, Spain). Chair Professor by contest at the National University of the Northeast (UNNE) and at the National Technological University (UTN). Category I Researcher at SPU. Evaluator CONEAU for graduates and postgraduates careers. Research Projects Chief at the following fields: Operative Systems, Distributed Computing, Data Mining for Education, Data Imputation. Member of many Academic Excellence Committees in and outside of the country. Director of the Informatics Doctorate at UNNE-UNaM-UTN. Member of the Career Commission of the Information System Bachelor’s degree in FaCENA at UNNE. Member of the Postgraduate Commission at the FaCENA, UNNE. Author of many papers published in congresses and magazines, both nationally and internationally. He evaluates papers for congresses and magazines, both nationally and internationally.
Jorge E. Monzón

Jorge E. Monzón

He is a Doctor of the National University of the Northeast Area: Technological Sciences-Engineering. He also studied at the University of Wisconsin (USA), obtaining the titles of Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He is an Electrical Engineer-Electronic Orientation, graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán and a Health and Safety Engineer (Universidad Tecnológica Nacional).
He has been a professor and researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, a scholarship holder at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, and a researcher at the Instituto Superior de Investigaciones Biológicas (CONICET-UNT).
He has published works in scientific journals in Argentina, Spain, India, Ireland, Great Britain, Mexico and the United States. He has been guest editor and associate editor of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Magazine in the USA. He is editor of the Proceedings of the 25th IEEE-EMBS Conference, and co-editor of the Proceedings of the 32nd IEEE-EMBS Conference, published in 2010.
He is co-editor of the book Cardiac Fibrillation-Defibrillation (Intermediate). He is the author of two chapters of the book Interfacing sensors to the IBM PC, edited by W.J. Tompkins and J.G. Webster (Prentice-Hall, USA) and one chapter of the book Bioinstrumentation, edited by John G. Webster (John Wiley & Sons USA). He is the author of the chapter “Bioethics” of the textbook Biomedical Engineering Education & Advanced Bioengineering Learning: Interdisciplinary Concepts (IGI Global, USA).
He was Vice President, in 2 consecutive terms, of the International Society for Engineering in Medicine and Biology (EMBS), becoming the only Latin American to hold this position in this scientific institution, which had already distinguished him in 2003 to chair the Annual International Congress held in Cancun (Mexico). He also chaired the Scientific Committee of the International Congress of Biomedical Engineering that took place in Buenos Aires in 2010.
He has been President of the Regional Council of Biomedical Engineering for Latin America and the Caribbean (CORAL) in the period 1999-2001, an organization of which he was Secretary by unanimous vote of the member countries.
He was the Argentine Delegate to the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering and to the International Union of Physical Sciences and Engineering in Medicine for two decades and Delegate for Latin America to the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society from 1998 to 2001.
He was the first President of the Argentine Society of Bioengineering, where he also served as Secretary and Vice President. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, and Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
He is cited in the biographical encyclopedias Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Science & Engineering, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine & Healthcare. He has given courses, seminars and conferences of his specialty in the country and abroad. He is a consultant for national and international companies.
At the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste he is a Professor of the subjects Logical Circuits and Bioinstrumentation, in the Engineering Department of FaCENA.
He is Director of the Master’s Degree in Systems and Networks of Telecommunications, accredited by CONEAU and taught at FaCENA-UNNE.
He is a Category I Teacher-Researcher in the National Incentive Program.
