IEEE ARGENCON 2020 CODE OF CONDUCT

Short version

We hope that the ARGENCON 2020, in virtual mode, is a harassment-free Congress for everyone, regardless of sex, identity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), ideology or technological options. We will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any way. Sexual language and images are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, social networks and other online media. Conference participants who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference, and in case of paid registrants, without a refund, at the sole discretion of the conference organizers.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, ideology, choice of technology, sexual images in spaces audiences, deliberate intimidation, harassment, follow-up, photographic harassment or recording, sustained interruption of conversations or events, inappropriate physical contact and unwanted sexual attention.

We hope that, those participants who are asked to stop any bullying behavior, will comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassment behavior, Organizers may take the measures they deem appropriate, ranging from a written warning to expulsion from Congress without any refund.

If you suffer harassment, notice that someone else is being harassed or have comments about it, please contact Congress staff immediately. Congress staff can be identified, in chat facilities, through their nicknames.

Congress staff will help participants to feel safe during the conference. We value your assistance to ARGENCON 2020.
