We face transitions or changes at many points in our careers:

• project transitions or cancellations;
• organizational changes or a new reporting structure;
• family changes;
• moving to a new job or new city;
• health changes. 

We’ll discuss dealing with change at our upcoming IEEE Discussion Group on May 20 at 6:30 PM at Cirrus Logic. Plus we’ll have delicious snacks catered by The Grove, an open bar, and games and prizes for kids. Bring your friends and their families!

Take a quick look at “Tips to Tackle Change in the Workplace,” from Stanford (a one-minute read). And if you’ve got a little more time, take a look at the book from Chip Heath and Dan Heath, Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard. (You can read much of that in 30 minutes through Amazon’s “Look Inside” feature.)
