WIE will be manning several tables at the annual Girl Scout STEM Expo.  We’ll be teaching the Girl Scouts about science and engineering with two different types of activities: in the morning (10am – 12pm), we’ll talk about computer encryption and have a cryptex box for them to solve; and in the afternoon (12 – 3pm, 3 – 6pm), we’ll have a series of science-based activities for them to participate in, including a selfie stand (infrared, thermal, and normal view cameras), eating liquid nitrogen dipped cookies (safely of course!), and a vacuum chamber (to learn about air).
