About DevIC Series of Conferences

The Devices for Integrated Circuit (DevIC) series of International Conferences has been organized by IEEE KGEC Student Branch Chapter in association with Department of ECE, KGEC biannually from 2016.  The Int. Conference is accompanied by lots of keynote lectures/talks, tutorials, and oral presentations by eminent researchers.

Aim & Objective of DevIC series of Conferences

DevIC conference series aims to bring together leading scientists, researchers, engineers, and scholar students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of device technology & modeling to discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. The conference also provides an opportunity to local, regional and international industries-service providers to present their technologies, products and services. Moreover, we want to continue our conference in the subsequent years also, to build a community against the conference.

The aim and objective of DevIC conference series is to provide an annual forum for the presentation and discussion of recent advances in solid-state devices, circuits and systems. The increasing level of integration for system-on-chip design made available by advances in silicon technology is more than ever before calling for a deeper interaction among technologists, device experts, IC designers, and system designers.

General purpose of the DevIC conferences:

The general purpose of DevIC conference series is to recognize the importance of interaction between device, circuits, systems and electronic materials research and provides for fruitful exchange of information between attendees of the conference.

Conference History

It started in 2016, a group of about 75 students and 50 faculty members assembled on the campus of the Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani to  attend the First Devices for Integrated Circuits (DevIC 2016) with a focus on engineering education and research. The main purpose is to provide a good platform to exchange ideas thus defining an appropriate conclusion for development of next generation devices for application in IC technologies. The vision of this conference is to create and disseminate knowledge by bringing together a group of researchers, engineers, and scientists, working in the frontiers of Solid State Devices, VLSI and Integrated Circuits Technology. It started with only 32 presented papers. Since then, the conference  has come a long way and has grown with the device community and has obtained the likes from industries and academicians from all over the world.
