Student Travel Grants

In order to motivate young researchers to participate in the 3rd IEEE Design Methodologies Conference, the IEEE PELS TC10 will sponsor a number of Student Travel Grants (up to $1000 each). The Student Travel Grant is intended to “partially” cover the costs of attending and participating in the 2023 event, such as:

  • Airfare and ground transportation costs
  • Hotel/Accommodation costs
  • Conference registration fees to support their attendance.

To qualify for the attendance grant, you must:

  • Complete the application.
  • Register for the conference.

Recipients of these grants will be selected by the IEEE DMC Committee based on the qualification and financial needs of the applicant. Note that the award recipients will need to pay for their expenses ahead of time and get reimbursed after the conference. Receipts and invoices must be provided to claim the travel grant. A check of up to $1000 will be issued to the awardees during the conference with W-9 (US citizens or permanent residents) or W-8 (others) tax form submission.

Additionally, the grant recipients will be encouraged to join TC10 and further excel their knowledge and widen their contact network. The successful recipients will be invited to participate in the conference activities as part of the local organization team and assigned a mentor from the conference organizing committee.

The deadline for all applications will be July 7th, 2023. The grant recipients will be notified by July 22nd, 2023.
