Student Travel Grants

In order to facilitate the participation of young researchers to the IEEE Design Methodologies Conference, the IEEE PELS TC10 will sponsor 10 Student Travel Grants (between $500 and $1000 each). The Student Travel Grant is intended to partially cover the costs of attending and participating in the 2024 event, such as:

  • Airfare and ground transportation costs
  • Hotel/Accommodation costs
  • Conference registration fees to support their attendance.

To qualify for the attendance grant, you must:

  • Complete the application.
  • Register for the conference.

Recipients of these grants will be selected by the IEEE DMC Committee based on the qualification and financial needs of the applicant. Note that the Student Travel Grant is a reimboursement, and recipients will need to cover the costs upfront. Receipts and invoices must be provided to claim the travel grant.

Additionally, the grant recipients will be encouraged to join TC10 and further excel their knowledge and widen their contact network.

The deadline for all applications will be September 30th, 2024.

How to apply?

To apply for this grant, you need to answer the following questions:

1. Have you submitted work to be presented at IEEE DMC 2024? If so, please provide details of your paper.

2. Briefly describe your current research activity.

3. Describe your experience with advanced design methodologies and cyber security in power electronics.

4. Explain why you wish to attend IEEE DMC 2024 and how you expect it to affect your future research directions. Please, summarize the outcomes and experience you expect.
