Call for Papers
Teaching in the engineering curriculum is undergoing a rapid transformation owing to the swift development of novel technologies and paradigms. With a focus on tracking innovative teaching strategies, the IEEE German Education Conference (GECon) endeavors to bring together researchers and educators. The conference aims to provide a platform for networking with peers in engineering education and expand the current teaching landscape at German academic institutions. Following the success in 2022 – 2024 (proceedings), GECon 2025 aims to strengthen collaborations among researchers in teaching further.
After being hosted at TU Berlin and TU Munich, the event will be hosted in 2025 by Nordakademie (Campus Hamburg). GECon 2025 will aim to i) provide a platform to discuss teaching methodologies in German institutions, ii) foster collaboration among educational institutions, and iii) develop partnerships between academia and industry. Next to scientific submissions, the conference will offer many workshops and panels to exchange experiences in teaching methodologies in various research areas, such as online teaching, labs, and evaluations.
