VISA-FREE-POLICY
I. Transit Visa-Free Policy
Extended Stay：Starting from December 17, 2024, the stay duration for transit visa-free foreigners has been extended from the original 72 or 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days).
Increased Ports of Entry：The number of ports for transit visa-free entry has increased from 39 to 60.
Expanded Scope：Transit visa-free foreigners can now travel across provinces within the designated areas of 24 provinces (regions and municipalities).
II. Bilateral Visa-Free Agreements
Expanded Visa-Free Countries：Starting from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, 38 countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan, are granted visa-free entry for holders of ordinary passports.
Additional Reasons for Entry：The visa-free reasons have been expanded to include “exchange visits,” and the stay duration has been extended from 15 days to 30 days.
Other Visa-Free Countries：Countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, South Korea, Brunei, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan are granted visa-free entry for up to 30 days.
III. Other Visa-Free Policies
Hainan 144-Hour Transit Visa-Free：Hainan Province implements a 144-hour transit visa-free policy for some countries.
Cruise Ship Visa-Free：Starting from May 2024, foreign tour groups arriving by cruise ship are granted visa-free entry in China’s coastal provinces.
