Digital Twins for the Future

Panel Description:

With the support of Artificial Intelligence, development of digital transformation through the notion of a `Digital Twin’ has been taking off in many industries such as smart manufacturing, oil gas, constructions, bio-engineering, automotive, etc. This continuous industrial adoption of Digital Twin technology represents a great potential to reshape the future across diverse industries leading towards the Industry 5.0 revolution that sees the elevation of the level of virtual interactions with the physical environment. Digital Twin technologies help create comprehensive digital models of physical environments with full support for two-way communication between the digital model and the physical object to enable real time engineering decisions. Network operators rely on digital twin data and a virtual prototype to enhance preventive maintenance programs, pioneer next generation business models, rapidly improve product development, and maximize a product’s sustainability and efficiency in the field. This panel will discuss the opportunities, challenges and expected impact of Digital Twins on various industries as well as the potential applications in smart cities.
