Anja Vijselaar – Joulz, NL
Anja Vijselaar joined Joulz in February 2010. On 1 September 2011 she was appointed Business Unit Director of Joulz Projects, and in January 2015 she was appointed Director of Joulz B.V. Ms Vijselaar and her management team are fully focused on complex, future-proof medium- and high-voltage electricity infrastructure. Joulz aims to be a leader in the transition to a sustainable energy supply system, and to continue to develop into a top-class technical services provider and employer in the field of sustainable, intelligent grids. Joulz is part of the Eneco Group, an integrated energy group offering comprehensive sustainable energy solutions. The Eneco Group also include network manager Stedin and energy infrastructure specialist Joulz. Eneco is the result of the merger of a large number of municipal energy companies. The merger process started in 1992, and eventually led to an integrated group with 7,600 employees.
Before joining Joulz, Ms Vijselaar gained extensive experience in various executive positions at Dura Vermeer, including as Director of DVOI & CentralNed. Dura Vermeer is one of the ten largest development companies in the Netherlands. Anja Vijselaar studied civil engineering, and focused mainly on the construction of bridges, overpasses and motorways in the initial years of her career. She later made a move to oil & gas and electricity infrastructure.
Anja is a member of, and a discussion partner in, various national and international networks in the energy sector.
During the plenary session Anja will discuss the transformation process she initiated at Joulz to transform a public-sector organization into a customer- and market-focused company.
