Workshop Title: AI Powered Digital Twins in Supply Chain/Manufacturing
Presenter: Mr. Amit Dubey, : Founder and CEO DataFlux.ai and Data Science Manager, Agilent Technologies, Seattle, WA
Abstract
This application represents a Digital Twin of a real-time supply chain process, leveraging AI-driven decision-making to manage and optimize inventory workflows. The digital twin integrates live data from a MySQL-based warehouse inventory system with a natural language interface powered by AI, enabling seamless interaction, real-time updates, and automated insights into the supply chain.
The solution provides a centralized live dashboard, built using Streamlit, that empowers users to view inventory status, update or insert new records, and query inventory information in natural language. AI capabilities, powered by Ollama’s local large language model (LLM), facilitate intuitive communication with the system, enabling users to address complex supply chain scenarios, such as demand forecasting, stock level optimization, and anomaly detection.
By coupling real-time data synchronization with predictive analytics and human-like query responses, this system creates a digital replica of the physical supply chain, fostering operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving responsiveness to dynamic market conditions. This digital twin serves as a foundational step toward autonomous supply chain management, leveraging AI to bridge gaps between data, insights, and actionable strategies.
Key features include:
- Real-Time Inventory Management: Automatic updates and synchronization of warehouse data with the digital model.
- AI-Driven Interaction: Intuitive natural language queries for inventory operations, accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Visualization and Decision Support: Live dashboards displaying actionable insights and enabling data-driven decisions.
- Dynamic Updates: Capability to insert, update, and retrieve inventory records, ensuring alignment with real-world conditions.
This application demonstrates how digital twin technologies, when combined with AI, can transform supply chain management by offering a unified platform to analyze, predict, and optimize processes in real time.
