18th May, 2022 11:00 – 12:45 – HAC/SIGHT’22 – Workshop on Local Community Interventions

The workshop focuses on:

  • Raising awareness – HAC provides programs that engage members from various IEEE Regions
  • Providing training for participants in HAC/SIGHT courses captured on the IEEE Learning Network
  • Supporting humanitarian technology and sustainable development activities
  • Creating sustainable development community through collaborations within and outside IEEE. Participants will learn about HAC/SIGHT Pilots in progress and completed projects.

18th May, 2022 14:45 – 16:30 – MANUFACTURING 4.0

Participants will learn the CAD/CAM skills, design concepts, and open tools needed achieve 4IR. The workshop objectives are:

  • To enhance industry project skills for early and mid-career academics/professionals in Nigeria.
  • To expose participants to CNC Machines built from locally available Low-Cost Raw Materials
  • CAD/CAM prototyping and manufacturing
  • Learn workflow from concept to finished products using CNCs.
  • Use case prototypes and Demos- CNC machines with PCBs, and Robot prototyping.

NIGERCON is the flagship conference of IEEE Nigeria section and over the years it has developed an outstanding international reputation of high-quality content. In this edition, we have even moved further to ensure only world-class papers suitable for IEEE explore gets into our proceedings.
