Azucena Coronel is Data Architect InterWorks  Throughout her life, Azu has been all about having new experiences and trying things out. This has taken her from attempting various things like candle-making, taekwondo, belly dancing, oil painting and muay thai to traveling abroad for a Master of Information Technology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, a city she loved so much she decided to stay in it. Originally from Mexico City, Azu worked as a business intelligence consultant for five years before pursuing her graduate degree in Australia. Once in Sydney, it was not long before her passion for data took over. This drove her to get deeply involved in the areas of analytics and data science, developing a special interest in natural language processing. With her experience and love for consulting, Azu spent years helping several web analytics consultancies to expand their offerings into the BI world. A lifelong proponent of great teamwork and data, Azu naturally felt attracted to InterWorks and soon joined as a data engineer. Outside of the office, Azu and her boyfriend love to explore Australia and, from time to time, even the world. They take in all kinds of experiences from museums visits and concerts to hikes through the Aussie bush and lazy days spent on the beach.
