Special Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

The Organizing Committee of PECon2020 has been following the continued uncertainties of COVID-19 pandemic for a long time. Although we were eager to organize this edition as a regular in-person event again, continuing concerns and travel restrictions make it impossible to ensure the organization of a good quality and a comfortable conference with on-site experience. We would like to express that maintaining our participants’ health and safety is our top priority for the event.

In the light of growing concerns on the COVID-19 pandemic, Organizing Chairs of PECon2020 and technical co-sponsors, IEEE, IEEE PELS, IEEE PES and KIPE have decided not to move forward with the in-person event scheduled for December 7-8, in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

After much thoughtful deliberation and approval of technical co-sponsors, we have reached a consensus on moving PECon2020 to FULLY VIRTUAL. The conference date is UNCHANGED.

The general considerations and revisions are defined as follows after moving PECon2020 to virtual event;

• THE KEYNOTE SESSION will be streamed live on 7 December 2020 at 10am (GMT+8) Malaysia local time using MICROSOFT TEAMS. The link will be email to all participants before the event.
• Authors are required to prepare and submit a recorded video presentation.
• ONLY presented paper(s) will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
• The registration fees have been reduced for virtual edition of PECon2020.
