ABSTRACT

Data Analytics Workshop

Sensors worn or ingested by patients detect biophysiological signs that can help to improve health outcomes and the efficient provision of care. However, in many contexts the data streaming from these devices into body area wireless networks can result in extremely large flows which cannot easily be analysed with existing data mining approaches for real-time analyses. In this presentation, challenges inherent in-stream mining including identifying when the real-time analysis is critical, performing pre-processing and data analytics without storing data, is presented.
