Georgia Power Company, a subsidiary of Southern Company

Bill is responsible for the implementation of Georgia Power Transmission capital projects. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for Substation Design and Maintenance Support for Southern Company Transmission and has also served in leadership roles in Transmission System Operations, Transmission Planning, Transmission Maintenance, and Transmission Construction. He has over 35 years of experience in all phases of the transmission business including Planning, Design, Construction, Maintenance and Operations. Bill has held leadership roles in several industry groups including the NERC Performance Analysis Sub-Committee and EEI Spare Transformer Equipment Program. With more than 4.5 million customers and approximately 46,000 megawatts of generating capacity, Atlanta-based Southern Company is the premier energy company serving the Southeast through its subsidiaries including Alabama Power Company, Georgia Power Company, Gulf Power Company, Mississippi Power Company, and Southern Power Company.

Bill is a graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
