David DeFalaise has worked 16 of 24 years of working as a Federal employee. Prior to government service, he did about four years doing Rapid Application Development (RAD), and then four years of web development for dot-coms and telecoms.   David then worked for the US Navy for ten years doing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Industry Control Systems (ICS) development on DoD gas and oil pipeline systems.   He has now been at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for six years working on the CIP Reliability Standards.   Specifically, he managed and served as the technical reviewer for Order No. 791, Order No. 802, and Order No. 822.   For the last year he has been working on Commission-Led CIP audits and the 2017 staff report “Lessons Learned from Commission-Led CIP Version 5 Reliability Audits.” David graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
