Santiago Grijalva is the Southern Company Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of the Advanced Computational Electricity Systems (ACES) Laboratory at Georgia Tech. His research interest is on decentralized power system control, cyber-physical security, and economics. From 2002 to 2009 he was with PowerWorld Corporation. From 2013 to 2014 he was with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) as founding Director of the Power System Engineering Center (PSEC). Dr. Grijalva is a Member of the NIST Federal Smart Grid Advisory Committee. His graduate degrees in ECE are from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
