Tom Alrich is a well-known consultant and blogger about cyber risk management and the NERC CIP cybersecurity standards for the electric power industry. Tom has consulted on cybersecurity and CIP compliance since 2008, working previously for Honeywell and Deloitte. Tom has spent approximately one year working on helping electric utilities develop their CIP-013 cyber security risk management plans. Tom participates with the Supply Chain Working Group of the NERC CIP Committee in developing “CIPC Security Guidelines” for supply chain security for NERC entities, and led the development of two of the five supply chain security guidelines currently posted on NERC’s website.

Tom lives in Evanston, Illinois and has an Economics degree from the University of Chicago.
