OV-fiets (Public Transport Bike)
OV-fiets bikes are available at Maastricht Central Station and are ideal for short trips around the city. They can be rented using a personal Dutch public transport (OV) chip card with an active OV-fiets subscription (€0.01 per year). The rental fee is €4.45 per 24 hours. This option is most suitable for those who already have a Dutch OV-chip card.
App-based Bike Sharing for Tourists
For international visitors without an OV-chip card, Maastricht offers several app-based bike-sharing services such as TIER and Donkey Republic. These bikes can be easily rented via a smartphone app, with payment options including credit card and other common methods.
