Julia Andrusenko, a seasoned Senior Communications Engineer, at Rampart Communications, has over two decades of expertise in the field. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Drexel University. Before joining Rampart, she served as a Senior Communications and Chief Engineer of the Mission Critical Communications group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). Julia’s expertise includes communications theory, wireless networking, satellite communications, Radio Frequency (RF) propagation prediction, communications systems vulnerability, computer simulation of communications systems, evolutionary computation, genetic algorithms/programming, MIMO, and millimeter wave technologies.

She has co-authored two books based on her extensive experience developing electronic warfare methodologies for advanced commercial communications systems and military data links: “Wireless Internetworking: Understanding Internetworking Challenges” (Wiley/IEEE Press) and “Cognitive Electronic Warfare: An Artificial Intelligence Approach” (Artech House).

Julia is a senior member of IEEE, a member of the IEEE Communications Society, and a voting Member of the IEEE 1900.5 Working Group (WG) on Policy Language and Architectures for Managing Cognitive Radio for Dynamic Spectrum Access Applications She frequently participates in conferences as a session chair, technical reviewer, speaker, and panelist. Additionally, Julia has played a pivotal role on the steering committee for the annual IEEE/APL 5G for First Responder and Tactical Networks Technologies workshops.
