Eleni Stefania Kalapoda is an architect and urban designer (AIA Associate | LEED Green Associate | ENV SP) currently working at Foster + Partners on the King Salman Terminal project in Saudi Arabia. With over five years of experience in architectural and urban design innovation, she has contributed to various international projects, including transit-oriented developments and civic landmarks. Her work emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion while tackling climate change through AI and promoting environmental resilience.
Eleni actively engages in research and innovation related to energy efficiency and sustainable design. As a peer reviewer for the 2024 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting, she evaluated submissions on greenhouse gas emissions reduction and building-grid symbiosis, showcasing her expertise in AI-driven forecasting and system optimization.
Lastly, she has a proven record of mentoring emerging researchers and professionals. Her participation in conferences such as the IEEE PES General Meeting 2024 supports IEEE WIE’s mission to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership in mentoring emerging professionals in engineering and technology.
