Smitha Kaje is an Embedded Systems Engineer and is currently working at Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, Hauppauge, NY, the world’s leading independent supplier of precision DC high voltage power supplies, X-Ray generators and X-Ray sources for medical, industrial and scientific applications.

Smitha has 2 Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering (from BITS Pilani-Dubai and from Stony Brook University, NY). She also has 12+ years of worldwide experience in IT Industry, in countries such as Dubai, Ireland and
India.

Smitha works on the Digital design and coding of FPGAs, GUIs, Microcontrollers, and DSPs for high-voltage Medical Devices (CT Scanners/X-ray Generators), while collaborating with cross-functional teams to test and ensure the seamless operation of complex hardware systems in accordance with Customer Specifications.

Smitha is actively contributing to academic research, having 3 peer-reviewed Conference papers published, focusing on FPGA-based accelerators, out of which two papers are published by IEEE. She has been an active member of the IEEE Long Island, NY.
