Nita Patel is Vice President, Engineering at Otis’s lead design center in Farmington, Connecticut where she is leading global engineering design and development. As a volunteer leader, Nita is immediate past president of the IEEE Computer Society. She has served in other IEEE roles such as Director of the IEEE Foundation, Vice President for IEEE-USA, and past international chair of IEEE Women in Engineering during which she founded the International Leadership Conference and launched the local ILS summits.

Outside of IEEE, Nita is an active leader within Toastmasters International and the United States Chess Federation. Nita received her MS Computer Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, and BS Mathematics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
