Dr. Tessa Berry is a Lead AI & ML Engineer at HERE Technologies.  In her 5-year industry career, she has been working on machine learning applications mostly for building and improving digital map content.  Previously, her work focused on machine learning algorithms for map point of interest verification from GPS probe data.  More recently, her research has focused on deep learning applications for probe data and satellite imagery. 

Tessa has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Rice University and a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in experimental particle physics.  For her dissertation, she studied top quark pair production at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland.
