Bio
Renn is a design leader, prolific inventor and entrepreneur with a passion for creating innovative user experiences and forward-thinking product designs. With over 20 years of experience at companies such as Myant, IBM and BlackBerry in leadership roles within user experience, design research, consumer insights and strategic innovation she’s helped design best in class products and experiences. Renn’s design thinking hands-on approach and her inclusive point of view as a designer is radically different from most. For any project she always starts with ‘WHY create’ in the first place and uses a co-creative design methodology and best practices based on insights gained from creating with end consumers and industry experts during the design process.

In October 2014 Renn founded Daily Goods Design LABS (DGDL) at the FashionZone at Ryerson University. DGDL is a product design, research and innovation company based in Toronto. DGDL focuses on collaboration and co-creation methodologies to create products. Current work is focused on design coaching and enablement of teams. From a personal perspective, Renn’s interest is in FemTech, the health and wellness industry and the integration of hardware and software into ecosystems with wearables and/or devices.
