Malika Khodja

Africa Chair - Women in 3D Printing & co-founder director of Tiziri Advanced manufacturing technologies

She was born and raised in Algeria in North Africa and studied aeronautical engineering up to Masters level in Algeria.

Worked as a lecturer at the department of mechanical engineering from 2012, before moving to South Africa in 2015 to further her PhD studies and gain experience in the industry. With mechanics of material, numerical simulation background, with a focus in Finite element analysis and fracture mechanics.

Some of the other research she conducted was in collaboration with the CSIR and Wits University in the simulation of the laser shock peening process benefitting the local industry. Her current activities are through consulting and training in additive manufacturing technologies across Africa.

She has a very hands approach to engineering as well as consulting work, collaborating with a multidisciplinary technical team to the benefit of the customer

She is Africa Chair for the global organisation “Women in 3D Printing”.

Currently she is the co-founder director of Tiziri Advanced manufacturing technologies.
