Cori is the President, Social Media Coordinator / Historian of Women in Science and Engineering Research (WiSER) at Mayo Clinic.

She is a PhD student in the Neuroimmunology lab of Dr. Aaron Johnson at the Mayo Clinic. Cori’s research is focused on understanding immune-mediated blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption and immune-cell interactions at the barrier during multiple pathologies. Cori has been involved in many fields of research in the biomedical sciences in a career that has spanned over 15 years. Cori has also been long dedicated to increasing diversity in science and has served in many positions throughout the years including; diversity blog writer for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), National Liaison for Mayo (SACNAS) Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science, Social Media Historian and president of Women in Science and Engineering Research (WiSER) at Mayo Clinic along with many others.
