ABOUT PUCE

The Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE) is a private Catholic university located in Quito, founded in 1946 by the Society of Jesus and Cardinal Carlos María de la Torre. It is the oldest private university in Ecuador and one of the most prestigious in the country. PUCE offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple disciplines, including medicine, engineering, law, architecture, and the humanities.

The university follows the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm, promoting integral education rooted in values such as justice, service, and faith. It has several campuses throughout Ecuador, expanding access to higher education.
