IEEE ISGT NA 2022 COVID-19-Precautions
The health and well-being of IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies NA (ISGT) conference attendees remains our top priority. By working closely with the Ernset M. Morial Convention Center and Federal, State and Local public health officials, we will incorporate current best practices to provide you with the best level of protection at the conference. The 2022 ISGT NA organizing committee will continue to actively monitor local, state, and federal guidelines and we may further adjust our protocols if local conditions change as we get closer to the event based on requirements in New Orleans and at the venue.

The ISGT NA Conference is planning to have a N-95 or KN-95 face mask for each attendee. Please consider using these masks or masks you bring with you during the conference and the related events.
We all play a role in guarding against the health and safety threats. This year, we’ve added COVID specific measures to ensure a clean environment that focuses on your health and wellness. We strongly encourage that all attendees complete full COVID vaccination before the conference. Here are some of the health measures that we expect all participants to follow while attending the conference:

- Proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 PCR, molecular, or antigen test with is no longer required. (Note that proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test may be required by individual businesses or organizations per City of New Orleans.)
- All attendees are encouraged to be vaccinated before attending and to wear an effective face covering at all times while inside the venue and while attending ISGT.
- Signage will be in place throughout the conference venue informing and reminding all attendees and contractors of COVID-19 prevention measures.

What You Can Do to Help Onsite
- Follow the World Health Organization’s (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases at the event including getting fully vaccinated.
- Discourage physical greetings like handshakes, high fives, fist or elbow bumps, and hugs.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Maintain social distancing between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
- If you have fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, avoid interactions with others and seek medical care early. In addition, if you are a panelist or other speaker, please let the session chair know. They may be able to work with you to find a substitute presenter.

If you are a panelist, presenter, or moderator and your organization has travel restrictions that prohibit your attendance, please find a substitute presenter who will be able to present the work and answer all questions, and inform the organizing committee as soon as possible.
