Countries and regions that require a visa to travel to Mexico

Nationals of the following countries or regions under any entry condition must obtain a visa to travel to Mexico

Conditions of stay (Article 52 of the Migration Law):Visitor without permission to carry out paid activities (tourism, business, others).

I. Visitor with permission to carry out paid activities

II. Regional Visitor (Applicable in Southern States)

III. Border Worker Visitor (Applicable in Southern States)

IV. Visitor for humanitarian reasons

V. Visitor for Adoption Purposes

VI. Temporary Resident

VII. Student Temporary Resident

They must apply at a Mexican consulate for the visa corresponding to their entry. In the case of tourism, business or unpaid activities; You will need to apply for a visitor visa without permission to engage in gainful activities.

REMEMBER THAT:

You will not be able to exceed 180 days (unless you have a residence or immigration procedure).

The following documents are an alternative to the Mexican visa, which the foreigner may present:

a) Document proving permanent residence in Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area, as well as in the member countries of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia and Peru)

b) Valid and unexpired visa from Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area

c) APEC Business Traveler Card (ABTC) approved by Mexico (only for air entries and for business travel)

d) Certificate accrediting him as a member of the crew of the aircraft in which he arrives

e) Sea booklet, if you are a member of the crew of the vessel that arrives at the Mexican port on an international crossing. If the crew member arrives by air to enroll on a ship stocked in a national port, he must present, in addition to the sea booklet, a document that proves his enrollment, the data of the vessel and the Mexican port in which it is located

In the immigration review filter, the foreigner must submit:

1.- A valid passport or identity and travel document that is valid in accordance with international law.

3.- Visa duly issued, valid and valid

4.- IF APPLICABLE: Residence card or authorization in the condition of stay of regional visitor, border worker visitor or visitor for humanitarian reasons

Note: The immigration authority may ask the foreigner to prove the reason for their trip and may request the following:

1.- Hotel reservation, return tickets, tour tickets (itinerary)

2.- Letter of mandate in Spanish from the parent company, subsidiary or foreign subsidiary indicating that the foreign person is employed and that the payment of the services to be provided in the national territory will be borne by the same

3.- Copy of the contract for the transfer of technology, patents and trademarks, for the purchase and sale of machinery and equipment, for technical training of personnel, or any other related to the production process of a company established in Mexico or that binds the foreign party with the Mexican party, or proof of appointment by the shareholders’ meeting of companies legally established in Mexico

4.- Letter from a public or private organization or institution inviting the foreigner to participate in an unpaid activity in national territory, stating the purpose of the visit and the estimated time of stay. In the event that the organization or institution covers the travel and permanence expenses of the foreign person in the national territory, a letter of responsibility must be attached

5.- Letter of invitation or acceptance from an institution belonging to the National Education System to carry out courses, studies or research or training projects for a maximum period of one hundred and eighty days

6.- Information and personal data that are required

7.- Place of habitual residence or place of origin

8.- Domicile and time of stay in the national territory

9.- If applicable, name, denomination or company name and address of the natural or legal person who will employ or invite you

10.- Activities to which they are engaged in their country or place of origin and those to be carried out in the national territory

11.- The means of subsistence during their stay in the national territory, except in the case of foreigners who carry a Mexican visa, and

12.- The means of transport that will be used to make their exit from the country.
