About the IEEE Student Poster Competition
IEEE NSW Education Chapter and RAS Chapter are organizing a student poster competition at UNITE 2022. UNITE aims to bring together the Engineering community of NSW together. It will be a great opportunity for the students to showcase their research to the Engineers (students, academics, industry professionals) of NSW. Blind review process will be followed for the judging.
There will be two categories in the competition: Under-graduate (UG) and Post-graduate (PG).
Only IEEE student/graduate student members can participate in the competition.
Best posters in each category will be awarded a certificate at UNITE 2022. Participation certificates will be given to all the shortlisted posters. Winning best posters certificates play an important role in building evidence of your research capability and community acceptance.
Marking criteria: Problem statement and proposed solution [15%], Technical execution and quality of analysis [30%], Results achieved [25%], Impact of the work (social, industry) [25%], Presentation [5%]
Students need to follow the below mentioned steps to participate in the competition:
Step 1: Register for UNITE https://attend.ieee.org/nswunite-2022/

Step 2: Send a softcopy of the poster (in PDF) to r10_nsw_ras@ieee.org by 17th June 2022. In the subject of the email please mention “Student Poster Competition UNITE 2022″. A confirmation email will be sent as an acknowledgement. Students need to clearly indicate “UG”/”PG” at the bottom right corner of their poster. To ensure a blind review process, students are requested not to mention the name of the authors and affiliation in the softcopy of the poster.
Step 3: Shortlisted posters will be notified by 30th June 2022. Students need to attend and present their posters at UNITE 2022 (on 8th July, 6:30pm-9:00pm, Mercure Sydney). Selected posters will be printed by the respective IEEE Student branches. More details will be sent to the shortlisted students. Students need to bring their posters to the venue.
Step 4: Outcome of the competition will be announced at UNITE 2022 after the poster session.
