Tara Carroll, ET, is a systems design engineer for ADT Commercial’s National Fire design team specializing in commercial fire alarm design. Tara received her B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering Technology from Eastern Kentucky University and holds a NICET III certification in Fire Alarm Systems. She is currently working on her Masters in Fire Protection Engineering at CalPoly.

She has been a member of IEEE since 2019 and is currently the Chair of IEEE-WIE Dayton Region and IEEE Young Professionals Dayton. Tara has also functioned as a Firefighter since 2012 and a Firefighter/Paramedic since 2015. She spends her spare time working at a local fire department, volunteering for the Dayton Public Library, and traveling.
