Raisa Fabiha received her BS and MS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Having three years of experience in higher education industry, she is currently pursuing her PhD as a group member of Quantum Device Laboratory in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research area is spintronics and nanomagnetism.
Apart from academic interests, Raisa is passionate about general education and women in STEM. She has been affiliated with IEEE Women in Engineering since 2017 and also volunteered online as a proofreader for United Nations under PEOI fund. She served as an executive committee member of WIE Bangladesh Section from 2017 to 2019 and as Treasurer of WIE International Leadership Summit (ILS) in Bangladesh in 2018. She is currently the Chair of WIE Richmond Section and the Co-Chair of WIE Subcommittee on Regional Activities.
