Ruomei Li

Dr. Ruomei li, chairman of WIP of IEEE PES China.She is a IEEE senior member, IEEE PES/PELS/female engineers (WIE) member, AAAS member, China Women’s Association for Science and Technology (CWAST) Council, CSEE senior member. Research fellow of Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University.

Dr. Ruomei li received her B.E.in Hefei University of Technology (HUT) after the study in 1978~1982. She gotM.E. from the Graduate School of China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI). From 1996 to 2000, she studied in the university of Bath, UK and gotPhD. In 1994-1995, shestudied in UMIST, UK, upon theLee kai-hung fellowship Founding.

She started her professional career of electrical engineer from the center of AnHui electric power dispatching (1982-1986) and continue to work in China electric power research institute (1989~1994, 2000~2004), engaged in long-term planning, system simulation and analysis, operation control strategy and power electronic technology. Her research interests include digital modeling of complex systems, power quality and energy efficiency, etc. In recent years, more attention has been paid to the development of clean energy system in China. Since 2004, she has served as (executive) deputy secretary-general/secretary-general (2004~2013) of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE). To organize and promote domestic and international academic communication and cooperation in the field of power and energy engineering, through various forms including publications and conferences. She is the initiator and organizer of the event for female engineers in the field of electric power in China. Ruomei li initiated and organized CSEE Women events (2012-2017) and CIGRE Women in EngineeringForum (2014-2018), IEEE PES China WIP Forum (2018).She also led the establishment of a network of female engineers in power and energy industry.

As the main team member, she has won the second prize of energy’s science and technology progress award (1991) by the Ministry of Energy, and the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2008). She is Awarded to be the honorary CIGRE member(2014) and the 2019 IEEE PES Wanda Reder Pioneer in Power Award.

李若梅博士，IEEE中国区女工委员会主席，IEEE高级会员，IEEE电力与能源分会（PES）/电力电子分会（PELS）/女工程师分会（WIE）成员，AAAS会员，中国女科协（CWAST）理事，CSEE高级会员。清华大学能源互联网研究院特聘研究员，中国电机工程学会顾问。

李若梅博士1978-1982年就读于合肥工业大学，获学士学位；1986-1989年就读中国电力科学研究院研究生部，获硕士学位；1996-2000年在英国Bath 大学就读，获博士学位。1994-1995年获得李开鸿联谊基金资助，在英国曼彻斯特理工大学进修。她曾经先后在安徽省电力中心调度所（1982-1986）和中国电力科学研究院（1989-1994，2000～2004）从事专业技术工作，主要从事电网长期规划、系统仿真与分析、运行控制策略以及电力电子技术在配电工程应用的研究，研究兴趣包括复杂系统的数字建模、电能质量和能源效率等。近年来更多的关注清洁能源体系在中国的建设与推广。自从2004年起，她先后担任中国电机工程学会（CSEE）副秘书长（2004～2005）、常务副秘书长（2005～2009）、秘书长（2009～2013）和常务理事（2005～2013），并在多个国际组织包括CIGRE、CIRED、WFEO的决策层任职。利用刊物出版、会议活动等多种形式，组织和促进电力与能源工程领域的国内外学术交流。她是中国电力领域女工程师活动的发起人和组织者，每年都组织各类活动，鼓励推动女性科技人员的成长。李若梅发起和组织CSEE女工论坛（2012～2017）、CIGRE女工论坛（2014～2018）】IEEE PES中国区女工程师论坛（2018），并牵头建立了电力与能源界的女工程师网络。

她曾获得能源部科技进步二等奖（1991年，排名4）和国家科技进步一等奖（2008年，排名5）。获得CIGRE荣誉会员称号（2014年），获评为2019年IEEE PES WandaReder Pioneer in Power Award。
