Jacopo Iannacci [SM] was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1977. He received the MSc (Laurea) degree in electronics engineering and the PhD in information and telecommunications technology from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He received the Habilitation as Full Professor in Electronics from the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), in 2021. He worked in 2005 and 2006 as visiting researcher at the DIMES Technology Center (currently Else Kooi Lab) of the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands. In 2016, he visited as seconded researcher the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM in Berlin, Germany. Since 2007, he is senior researcher (permanent staff) at the Center for Sensors & Devices of Fondazione Bruno Kessler, in Trento, Italy. His research interests and experience fall in the areas of modeling, design, integration, packaging, and testing for reliability of MEMS and RF-MEMS devices and networks for sensors and actuators, Energy Harvesting (EH-MEMS) and telecommunication systems. Dr. Iannacci authored more than 160 scientific contributions, including international journal papers, conference proceedings, books, book chapters and one patent.

Prasanta Kumar Basu (b1946), B.Sc. (Physics), B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D., retired from RPE/CU in 2011, and then worked as UGC BSR Faculty Fellow, Visiting Professors at IIT KGP and National Chung Cheng University (NCCU), Taiwan, and thereafter as an Investigator in an Indo-Taiwan project. In his long career as teacher, researcher, and administrator, he had nearly 140 journal papers, 4 books and 2 book chapters all from international publishing houses. He guided and is still guiding more than 20 Ph.D. students. He worked as a post doc in Belgium, as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow in Germany, first INSA Research fellow, visiting professors in TIFR, McMaster University, Canada, NCCU and INSA-Royal Society Exchange professor in UK. Currently, he is engaged in joint research and book writing with faculties of RPE, NIT Delhi, and NCCU- Taiwan.

Dr Rajnish Sharma is Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic affairs) at Chitkara University, Punjab. He earned his PhD while working in India’s top research laboratory, National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and served in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani as a Faculty for 6 years. He has more than 85 Scopus indexed research papers to his credit in International journals and conferences of repute. Prior to his current role in the organisation, he has held positions of Dean (Research) for 5 + years and Dean (Academics) for 8 years in Chitkara University. He has successfully completed a research project sponsored by the Government of India on theme related to microelectronic devices. He has been on the reviewer’s panel list for many journals of international repute being published by IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Springer and Taylor & Francis. Currently, he is also working in collaboration with Glasgow Caledonian University, UK and Panjab University, Chandigarh on a project sanctioned by the British Council. Besides that, he is the coordinator for the recently established Taiwan India Smart City Research Lab at the campus with support from the Government of Taiwan. He along with senior colleagues from Chitkara University has been the resource person for a series of workshops conducted by AICTE on the topic related to ‘Examination Reforms’. He is a senior member of IEEE and holds the position of Secretary of Delhi section since last two tenures.

He has total 21 years of experience in academics and electron devices research. He received Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics Engineering from Sambalpur University, Odisha, India in 2012, M.Tech degree in VLSI Design from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, India in 2007 and B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Berhampur University, India in 2000. He was a Visiting Researcher at Helen and John C. Hartmann Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, USA in 2019 and also a Visiting Researcher at Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore in 2018. He is actively associated with IEEE-EDS, SSCS, CAS, Photonics society and NTC. He is the founding Chair of IEEE Kolkata Section Nanotechnology Council Chapter and founding Chapter Advisor of IEEE ED NIT Silchar Student Branch Chapter. His research interests include Nanoelectronics: III-Nitride and Ga2O3 based heterojunction devices for RF/Microwave and power electronics and Nanowire LED; Energy Harvesting: Solar Photovoltaics, MEMS-based piezoelectric energy harvesting and Nanotechnology: Growth of TiO2 Nanowire for Opto-nanoelectronics. He has guided 12 Ph.D. scholars and 23M.Tech scholars under his supervision. He has (co)authored more than 200 research articles in SCI/Scopus indexed scientific journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. He edited 04 books by Springer Nature and delivered more than 25 invited talks. Dr. Guha is currently head of the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam. Dr. Guha is awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award 2021 by NIT Silchar for his stellar performance in teaching and research. He has been awarded IETE R S Khandpur award 2022 for his achievements and outstanding contribution at national and international level in the field of ‘Medical Instrumentation’ covering education, research, design, development and production. Dr. Guha is also awarded Institute of Smart Structures and Systems Young Scientist award (ISSS, IISc Bangalore) 2021 for his contribution in MEMS/NEMS sensors and actuators. He is an optimistic researcher and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar (An Institution of National Importance under Govt. of India). Dr. Guha is the former Associate Dean (Academic) and former Assoc. Dean of Students Welfare in NIT Silchar. He has been running National MEMS Design Centre in NIT Silchar with an uplifted passion. MEMS lab is helping illuminate the department by supporting so many research scholars to pursue their work. His profound interest towards MEMS designing has made him one of the leading researchers not only in NIT Silchar but in the country with research articles in highly reputed Journals. He has published more than 100 papers in journals like IEEE, Springer, Elsevier etc. and conferences of international repute. He has authored around 35 book chapters and two books in MEMS and Healthcare. Dr. Guha is a senior member of IEEE and is a member of many professional bodies like IEI, SECI, FOSET, IIAM etc. He has been nominated Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). He has been an active and regular reviewer of (SCI/SCIE journals) and various IEEE hosted/sponsored conferences. Teaching is the heart of Dr. Guha, he deals with classes with exceptional sincerity and motivation. Dr. Guha has been involved in a number of R&D projects from various Govt. organizations like chip to start up project from Meity, Govt. of India, Horizon 2020 funded International project with Tyndall National Institute of Ireland, India Italy bilateral international project etc. and has been associated with it since a long time. Dr Guha is awarded five international patents and two national patents. Dr. Guha delivered many lectures in conferences, seminars, FDPs and training programs. Currently he is nominated as Associate Editor of prestigious journal of Microsystem Technologies of Springe and editor of IETE Journal of Research, Taylor & Francis. He has produced 7 PhDs and currently supervises 8 no. PhD scholars in the field of MEMS and VLSI. His current research interests include mimicking human body functions using MEMS technology, RF MEMS, BIO-MEMS, MEMS energy harvesting, design and development of smart sensors for IoT, VLSI circuit design, optimization and many more.

Dr. Shubham Sahay is an assistant professor in the department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Kanpur, India. Prior to joining I.I.T. Kanpur, he worked as a postdoctoral research scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received the B.Tech (Hons.) in Electronics Engineering with four gold medals and several cash prizes from the I.I.T. BHU Varanasi in 2014 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from I.I.T. Delhi in 2018. He has authored a book on “Junctionless Field Effect Transistors: Design, Modeling and Simulation” which is published by the WileyIEEE press. He has also published several peer-reviewed articles on topics including semiconductor device design and modeling, neuromorphic computing and hardware security primitives utilizing emerging non-volatile memories. He is an editor of IETE Technical Review and review editor for Frontiers in Neuroscience: Neuromorphic Engineering and Frontiers in Electronics: Integrated Circuits and VLSI. He is a member of IEEE and the vice-chair of IEEE EDS UP section. He also appeared in the list of Golden reviewers for IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices and IEEE Electron Device Letters from 2016-2020.

Dr. Rupam Goswami (Senior Member, IEEE, 2021) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Tezpur University, India. He received the doctoral degree in microelectronics from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar in 2018. He completed Master of Technology in Microelectronics and VLSI Design from NIT Silchar in 2014, and Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Assam Engineering College in 2012. Prior to joining Tezpur University, he has served in teaching positions at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Pilani Campus, India, and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneshwar, India.
His research interests include simulation, and modeling of semiconductor devices (TFETs, FinFETs, TFTs, advanced MOS devices), memristors as sensors, and charcoal electronics. He has 43 publications in SCI/ SCIE journals, 25 publications in peer-reviewed conferences, and 04 book chapters. He has served as the editor of two 03 technical books, has two 02 granted design registrations and has one granted Indian patent. He is an Editorial Board Member of BMC Research Notes (SpringerNature), and Review Editor of Frontiers in Electronics-Nano- and Microelectronics . He has worked in the role of three (03) government-sponsored research and (02) international projects as an investigator, including one project from IEEE Smart Village. Dr Sitangshu Bhattacharya is a faculty at the ECE department in IIIT-Allahabad. He is also a guest faculty at Harish Chandra Research Institute (HRI) Jhunsi, Allahabad, 2019-2022. He did his postdoc from IISc, Bangalore and PhD from Jadavpur University and his master’s from University of Calcutta. His expertise is in ab-initio studies of excitons in semiconductors, device physics and negf model development.
