John Funso-Adebayo

John studied Electrical Engineering in the University of Ibadan and the University of Lagos obtaining his BSc. and MSc. respectively.

He worked for the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd from 2003 to 2007. He moved to Huawei Tech. Co. Nig. Ltd where he installed the Etisalat Networks (end-to-end) and supported Networks Operations across West Africa and China from 2007 to 2014. He joined Ericsson Nigeria Ltd on the expansion of the 3G RAN Networks from 2014 to 2015.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Nigeria. He was the National President of the Electrical Engineers in Nigeria from 2018-2019.

John joined the IEEE two decades ago and held a variety of leadership positions, including the IEEE R8 Humanitarian Chair (as the first African) and the IEEE Nigeria Section Chair. He is the first student branch chair to become a Section Chair, in Nigeria. He is also a member of the Risk Management Committee of the IEEE HAC, a Senior Member of the IEEE.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Nigeria. He was the National President of the Electrical Engineers in Nigeria from 2018-2019.
