Founded in 1620, the University of Cagliari (UniCa) is the largest public University in Sardinia.
Organized in 15 Departments, UniCa counts just over 25,000 current students offering a wide range of degree programmes from undergraduate level, right up to doctoral studies in most disciplinary areas, from the humanities, law, economics and social sciences to engineering, from mathematics, chemical, physical and natural sciences to medicine and life sciences.
In 2020 UniCa will celebrate 400 years of history and research.
The initiative of the celebration of 400 years is a cultural project that will animate the University of Cagliari and the City of Cagliari starting from October 31st 2020 and will last one year.
The project has sponsored by the Regional Government Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, the Ministry of University and Research of Italy the City of Cagliari, Fondazione di Sardegna, the City of Monserrato, Banco di Sardegna. The initiative offers a calendar of events organized by UniCa Faculties and Departments and itineraries focused on these four hundred years.
The “Second International Summer School on Technologies and Signal Processing in Perinatal Medicine” is honored to underline the 400th anniversary of UniCa and gladly shares the logo, the story and the milestone.
