Instructions for Presenting Authors

Dear Author,

Our submission site is ready for your video upload! Please follow the instructions below.

Please note that all submissions are due by September 18th. However, we invite you to submit as soon as possible – the sooner you upload your presentation, the longer we have to review your submission for technical issues!

Author Presentation Upload Instructions

Introduction

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IEEE MMSP 2022 has been moved to a fully virtual conference. We have opted for a format where each contributed presentation will take the form of a pre-recorded video, available during the scheduled dates of the conference on-demand and each author will be available on Zoom during the live conference. In addition, after the live portion of the conference concludes the videos will stay on-demand. Further instructions (such as the specific time slot for each paper during live sessions) will follow regarding author responsibilities during the conference dates.

As a basis for the on-demand programming, we request you prepare and upload a video of your presentation, consisting of a brief introduction with webcam, if desired, followed by voice over slides for your presentation. This will be considered as a replacement of your attendance at the conference, and is a requirement for your paper to remain in IEEE Xplore. This media will be posted within your presentation time slot on the MMSP 2022 on-demand virtual platform. Please note that the file must be a video file in MP4 format (more details below).

Please note: all video submissions are due on Sunday, September 18th. As a reminder, videos not received by the deadline will be considered no-shows in accordance with the non-presented paper policy.

Live Session Format

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Each presentation time slot is 10 minutes for presentation (pre-recorded videos on the website are in-place in case of any technical issues during live session) and 5 minutes for questions/answers.  Each presentation has its own time slot which cannot be changed or shifted. The speakers are expected to make the best use of the slot. Session chairs will enforce the schedule.

Each session chair would introduce which paper is next and allow that time slot for questions regarding that paper only.

The presenters should be on line no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the session and check in with the Session Chair.

POSTER & DEMO PRESENTATIONS

Each presentation time slot is about 1 hour for the poster session (subject to changes regarding the specific topics).  Each presentation has its own breakout room within the zoom session which cannot be changed or shifted. The speakers are expected to make the best use of the slot by showing their poster or demo videos, answer questions, and giving an overview to anyone who comes in their zoom room.

The presenters should be on line no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the session and check in with the Session Chair.
