Mr. Alister Kandyata
Alister KANDYATA, Head of Renewable Energy Unit at the Zambia Electricity Supply Cooperation Limited (ZESCO) in Zambia, leads an assemblage poised to dynamically explore variable Renewable Energy Resources (VRES) in the generation of electricity to achieve diversification in the energy generation mix for the power utility. An energy mix and exploration of VRES would post the cooperation on a pedestal to climate resilience and increase the power generation capacity.
He is a prospective scholar in Renewable Energy Management and Finance with The Renewable Energy Institute and a finalist on Thesis for a PhD- Public Health with Texila American University (Pending Research on Climate Change and Renewable Energy). Further obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees from the University of Zambia (Lusaka-Zambia) in the years 2006 and 2012 respectively.
Professional Affiliation: Subscribed to the International Renewable Agency (IRENA). He has Immense interests in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Resources – participates in the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) webinar – Long Term Energy Scenarios series 2021 With Over 15 years of proven track record of Strong USAID funded projects planning, budgeting, human and financial resources management and reporting experiences. Immense interests in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Resources. Strong skills in Human resource capacity building, developing low cost systems strengthening approaches and tested interventions. Program monitoring and evaluation with continuous learning and adaption.
