Getting to Aachen by plane
Frankfurt Airport
By train: The train ride from Frankfurt to Aachen takes about two to three hours, depending on the connections, with a changeover at Cologne Main Train Station. Price: 47 to 61 Euros. The price depends on if you take a regional train with more stops in between or a quicker ICE connection. Tickets can be acquired with either cash or credit card as follows:

Duesseldorf Airport
By train: The train ride from Dusseldorf to Aachen takes about one and a half to two hours. Some connections require a changeover at Dusseldorf Main Train Station or Cologne Main Train Station.
Price: 21 to30 euros.The price depends on if you take a regional train with more stops in between or a quicker ICE connection. Tickets can be acquired with either cash or credit card as follows:

Cologne/Bonn Airport
By train: The train ride from Cologne/Bonn Airport to Aachen takes about one to one and a half hours. You have to change the train at Cologne Main Train Station.
Price: 17-25 Euros. Tickets can be acquired with either cash or credit card as follows:

By taxi: To take a taxi from Cologne/Bonn Airport to Aachen costs between 110 and 140 euros and will take about 60 minutes. You have to book a drive in advance.
Maastricht Airport
By bus: You have to take a shuttle transfer from Maastricht Airport to the Maastricht bus terminal which takes about 20 minutes. Price: About 4 euros. This shuttle bus stops right across the passengers terminal at the airport and will wait if your flight would be delayed. From the bus terminal in Maastricht, you can take the bus line 50 to Aachen. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes and costs about 5 euros.
By taxi: A taxi from Maastricht to Aachen costs about 70 Euros and takes about 35 to 40 minutes. You have to book a drive in advance.
