IEEE EDS SUMMER SCHOOL

DESIGN, CHARACTERIZATION, AND FABRICATION OF SENSORS AND INTEGRATED CIRCUITS

ABOUT

The second edition of the summer course is going to be hosted by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) and organized by the 2023 IEEE Latin American Conference LAEDC from June 29th – 1 July 2023 in Puebla, Mexico. This will be a three-day workshop including lectures, guided laboratories tours, experiments, hands-on training, and research experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of integrated circuits (IC) fabricated in Latin America.

This Summer School features high-quality speakers. It will be a three-day course with 9 lectures from Industry (Synopsis) and Academia (INAOE/GeorgiaTech/Andes). The summer course will be supplemented with the feedback and experiences of the 9 winners of the first Latin American contest on the design of integrated circuits (IC). The chips have already been fabricated and are in the process of undergoing testing.

THIS SUMMER SCHOOL WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.

  • Scholarship opportunities for selected participants including registration, lodging, and meals
  • Virtual presentations for remote participants
  • Certificate of Participation

IMPORTANT DATES.

  • Submission deadline: May 1st, 2023
  • Acceptance notification: May 8th, 2023

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Priority will be given to the scholarship to active members of EDS.
  • All accepted participants willing to attend in-person to the summer school are responsible to find travel support and visa arrangements (in case needed).
  • In-Person participants must arrive on Wednesday the 28th and leave the hotel on Saturday the 2 of July.
