Dr. Parameshachari B.D. currently working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women, Mysuru Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, India. Under his leadership, Dept. of TCE, GSSSIETW has Achieved NBA (Tier-II) Accreditation Twice. He has completed his B.E, degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kalpatharu Institute of Technology, Tiptur and M. Tech degree in Digital communication Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore and Completed Ph.D in ECE from Jain University, Bangalore. He has a total 17+ years of teaching and research experience and he has worked at various positions and places like Karnataka, Kerala and Mauritius (Abroad). He is recognized as Research Guide at VTU, Belagavi and currently, Five Research Scholars were pursuing Ph.D. Degree under his supervision. Under his leadership, his affiliated department has successfully approved by various accreditation bodies and got certified. He was instrumental in establishing collaboration between GSSSIETW and Multimedia University, Malaysia and also with University of Sannio, Italy He is also a certified Facilitator in Human Resource Development from CLHRD. He also serves as research consultant for several companies and also acts as mentor for several start up companies too. He is also the recipient IEEE Bangalore Section Outstanding Volunteer Award 2020, Citation “in Recognition of the Outstanding Contribution to the Bangalore Section in the year 2020”. This award is one of the highest awards in the IEEE Bangalore Section. IEEE Bangalore Section Best Branch Counselor Award (November-December 2020), IEEE Bangalore Section Fastest Member-Get-Member Award (November-December 2020). Outstanding Reviewer-Elsevier Signal Processing, Young Scientist Award from Aufau International Awards and also from VIRA, Outstanding Researcher from I2OR, and has served in various expert committees for VTU, Belagavi. Dr. Parameshachari B.D has published over 75+ articles in SCI, SCOPUS and other indexed journals and also in conferences. He is the Associate Editor for International Journal of Reconfigurable and Embedded Systems, International Journal of Health Systems and Translational Medicine (IJHSTM), International Journal of Big Data and Analytics in Healthcare (IJBDAH), Editorial Board Member for Quantum Cryptography and the Future of Cyber Security – IGI Global, USA and serving as Advisory Board Member and Editorial Board Member for several Journals. He is the Lead Guest Editor for International Journal of Computers and Applications – Taylor & Francis, SN Applied Science – Springer, Multimedia Tools and Applications – Springer, Book Editor – Apple Academic Press. He has been serving as reviewer for several journals like IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, IGI-Global etc. He has also served as Publication Chair for 4 IEEE Conferences ICEECCOT in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and ICACI-2020 in association Springer organized by GSSSIETW, Mysuru. He has also served as Regional Chair for 10th International Conference ICTC-2019 Jeju Island, Korea and Invited Speaker for 4th International Conference on Multimedia and Image Processing (ICMIP-2019) held in University of Malaya, Malaysia. Keynote Speaker for International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Information Technology (ICECIT 2020) held in Shenzhen, China. He has delivered many technical talks and honoured as a Resource Person and served in Technical Programme Committee in various International/National Conferences, National FDPs/workshops and Seminars. His interview with All India Radio, Mysuru on “Opportunities in the field of Telecommunication Engineering” in Yuvavani Programme has benefited the students abundantly. His research interests include Image Encryption, Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Network Security and Pattern Recognition, Data Science and IoT. He is the Senior Member of IEEE-USA, Fellow of IETE-New Delhi and Fellow of ISAC-Hong Kong. Member of International Professional Societies such as ACM-USA, IACSIT-Singapore, IAENG-Hong Kong, SAI-USA.
