Mary Ellen Randall is the founder and CEO of Ascot Technologies, Inc., a company that develops application software for cell phones, wireless devices, and the web, including iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Palm, and Windows Mobile. Previously, Ms. Randall spent 22 years with IBM, including an international assignment in Montreal, Canada. Ms. Randall held a variety of management and technical positions in software development, hardware development, digital video, client/server services, system tests, new product introduction, and routinely managed projects on an international scale.
Ms. Randall is a Fellow of IEEE, past Vice President of Member and Geographic Activities-2017, Chairs the IEEE-USA MOVE program, previously served as IEEE Director 2014-2015,2017 chaired the IEEE-USA Awards Board, served as IEEE Region 3 Awards and Recognition Chair, IEEE Region 3 Women In Engineering (world-wide) Committee Chair(2005-2006), IEEE Women In Engineering Committee Member (2007-2009), Board Chair for the Women’s Institute, IEEE Eastern NC Section Chair (2004) and past President of the Business and Professional Women of Raleigh.
She was named one of 25 top Women In Business in 2005 in the Research Triangle of North Carolina by the Triangle Business Journal and an Impact 100 Leader by Business Leader Magazine in 2003. Ms. Randall has a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
