Dr. Ashwini Appaji has completed her Doctorate in Biotechnology with a scholarship. She is presently working as Headmistress at Holy Child Convent, Bangalore. In IEEE she was holding the position of YPAG Coordinator for R10 YP and was Chair for Young Professionals Bangalore section during 2020. Recently she has received the Outstanding YP volunteer award from India Council 2020 and also from the Bangalore section during 2019. In the capacity of Chair, YP also has received an Outstanding section affinity group award from R10 in 2020. She has also received multiple funding from IEEE to conduct meetups, workshops, conferences, etc., She also owns the NITI AYOG fund for ATL incubation lab to her credit. She is also holding positions as Secretary for WiE Bangalore Section in 2018. She has actively organized various events in IEEE like STEP, TISP, boot camps, workshops, and Technical writing, etc., also given talks and also conducted workshops. Previously she has worked as Professor at Dayananda Sagar University and Jain University. She has received the best presentation award at the International conference AISYWLC 18 at Bali, Indonesia for career resource workshop. She has various National and International Publications to her credit. She also has received various Awards and Academic Achievements. For her project she has been Sponsored by Department of Biotechnology Government of India. She was selected as an outstanding participant and Completed Class 1 MIIEB (Make in India Entrepreneurship Bootcamp), Sponsored by IEEE Region 10. Also Won prize money of $1500 USD at med4dev hackathon Conducted by Pears Program, Isreal in collaboration with Naascom, Govt of Karnataka for the project “Real-Time, Personal Monitoring Device for Pregnant Women in Remote Areas”. Was Awarded appreciation for the achievement in Research Publication from The President – Jain University Trust. She has also received best paper award in various conference. She was Granted Scholarship from Department of Biotechnology Government of India. She is a Life member for Association for the Advancement of Biodiversity Science [AABS]. Previous to academics she also Worked in R&D, Phytochemistry Department, Natural Remedies Pvt Ltd. Bangalore and also at Vinoy Cell Therapitic Research Center as junior scientist. Adding to this entire she is also an entrepreneur a sole proprietor for Ashwini Distributors (company related to Health care).AI
