Prasant Misra, Ph.D. is currently working as a Scientist at Corporate Research & Innovation, TATA Consultancy Services Ltd., Bangalore. Prasant is passionate about building systems “at scale” that can extend human and machine capabilities with newer and better ways of observing and managing the physical world. His research cuts across various aspects of computational sensing, optimization, and control of cyber-physical systems. His current focus is on smart mobility management. He also has a background in middleware for wireless sensor networks and low-power networked embedded systems. He has more than ten years of experience in scientific and industrial research. He has worked in different roles and capabilities for: Keane Inc. (a unit of NTT Data Corporation), Bangalore (2006-08); CSIRO Sydney and Brisbane (2008-12); Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (2013-16).
