IEEE SoutheastCon is the annual IEEE Region 3 Technical, Professional, and Student Conference. The conference brings together Computer Scientists, Electrical and Computer Engineering professionals, faculty and students to share the latest information through technical sessions, tutorials, exhibits, and student competitions.
IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
IEEE publishes technical journals, sponsors conferences, and develops technology standards. It fosters an environment where members collaborate on cutting-edge advances in computing, communications, robotics, energy systems, aerospace, healthcare, and more.
Over 1000 professionals and students are expected to join us Virtually.
Atlanta has more than 8,000 active IEEE members within a fifty-mile radius, and a central location within the region. It is home to world-class universities, including Georgia Tech, Emory, Georgia State, Morehouse, Mercer, and UGA. There are more than 500 IEEE student members in area schools. Major area employers include the Georgia Tech Research Institute, Coca-Cola, Google, NCR, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Georgia Power, and IBM. Owing to the vibrant research and development activities and educational institutions in the region, we expect robust attendance at SoutheastCon 2021.
