IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS

SoutheastCon 2021 has moved to a fully virtual platform!

The IEEE SoutheastCon 2021 Committee is closely monitoring developments related to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

The health and safety of our participants is the number one priority of our committee. The committee is working diligently with IEEE and SAC to define a course of action that will take local regulations into consideration while ensuring that the hard work of our authors and students are not minimized by the impact of this pandemic.

As a result of these considerations the committee has decided to move forward with virtual proceedings. Please note that this means hotel reservations are not required as no events will be hosted at the hotel this year. This also means that there are a variety of changes to the student program competitions, details on those changes have been posted to each competition’s page on this site.

We want to keep all of you informed as best as possible, please continue to check this site for updates about the schedule, registration and events.

Regards,
The SoutheastCon 2021 Committee

Technical Program

Paper Track presentations will be held live via IEEE WebEx. Authors with presentations must submit their presentation in advance, through EDAS for screening. We encourage everyone to ensure they have both a functional webcam and microphone.

More Details To Come.

Student Program

SAC has revamped the region level competitions to be more flexible and better suited for a virtual platform. Students are encouraged to utilize Discord to keep up to date on information as well as to ask any questions they may have. Hardware competition changes are in development to adjust to virtual submission. All teams are encouraged to ensure they have a functional webcam and microphone as this will be necessary for most of the student program.

Details provided on each competition’s page. See the student program home page.
