Registration fees for the 2020 IEEE PowerAfrica Conference for authors and non-authors have been substantially reduced with the switch to a virtual conference. Please read the online registration form carefully.

All fields marked with an asterisk* are mandatory.

IMPORTANT: Please note that while registration will continue after the event has started, we cannot guarantee instant access to the virtual platform for any individuals who register after 25th August 2020.

Those who register while the event is in progress (25th August or after) may need to wait up to 24 hours for their registration to become active in the platform. We highly encourage you to register by Monday 24th August 2020 1200GMT.

*Registration fees include:

A full registration includes access to all parts of the conference: keynotes, industry fora, tutorials, industry panels and exhibitions, entrepreneurship forum, and the full technical program.

Registration provides each participant with access to all sessions in our interactive virtual platform where they can ask questions of speakers, take part in discussion groups, meet with sponsors, and more.

Live sessions and new content releases will happen from 25th-28th August 2020, but the virtual platform will remain open to registrants for several more weeks, to browse all of the content at your own pace. Opportunities for asynchronous Q&A with most speakers/presenters will continue after 28th August 2020.

1. All paper presenters shall pay FULL registration fees for the conference.
2. One author registration will cover the publication expenses of only TWO accepted papers. For each additional accepted paper associated to the same registration (up to 4 papers per registration), $50.00 USD will be charged.
3. Authors presenting more than 4 papers must pay an additional full registration for the 5th paper, $50 for the 6th, etc. For each additional accepted paper associated to the same registration, a $50 USD fee will be charged.
4. Where two people want to present papers, each person must pay registration following number 2 above.
5. To be published in the IEEE PowerAfrica 2020 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, at least one author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the FULL (member or non-member) rate.
6. Non-IEEE Student Members will pay the Non-Member rate.
7. The Deadline for Registration for Authors is August 7, 2020

Student Authors
In order for a paper to be published, at least one of the authors from each paper must pay the full registration fee and attend the conference to present the paper. Therefore, students who author or co-author a paper and are the only author attending the conference will pay a fee comparable to that paid by an IEEE/Society or non member, not the student rate.
